International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is a global event that was established to promote the incredible career opportunities available to women in the field of engineering. This awareness campaign was originally launched in 2014 by the Women’s Engineering Society to celebrate their 95th anniversary. What started as a national event in the United Kingdom is now celebrated annually (worldwide) on the 23rd of June.
