Toronto, ON August 20, 2018/insPRESS/ – 30 Forensic Engineering, Canada’s leading and fully-independent multi-disciplinary forensics firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Sparling, B.Eng.&Mgt., P.Eng. as Senior Vice President & Practice Lead, Materials Failure. Mr. Sparling will be responsible for the operational management and leadership of the firm’s technical services while continuing to maintain his successful consulting practice.
With more than 20 years of experience, 12 years in aerospace and 10 years in forensic engineering, and having lead over 3000 failure investigations, Rob is considered one of the foremost failure investigators in Canada. In the Senior Vice President role, Rob will use his vast experience in forensic investigations and commitment to high quality and timely reporting to provide the best possible service to our clients.
Since 2012, Rob has successfully led the Materials/Failure/HVAC group and has been a member of the senior management team at 30 Forensic Engineering. With this promotion, Rob will bring his passion for developing, mentoring and leading forensic experts to his new role. When asked about what excited him about his new role, Rob commented, “The most rewarding experiences I have had in management have been those where the staff I lead have felt proud of their own successes, independent of my direct input. Mentoring, leading, and guiding staff such that they become great experts in their own right is what motivates me.”
“Rob is a great leader of people and it’s only natural to formalize his skills with an appointment to Senior Vice President. He sets a great example of how to be the complete consultant, but with a selfless attitude that multiplies his value many times over. I look forward to continuing to work with Rob as we chart a course for the next growth stage of 30 Forensic Engineering” stated Jamie Catania, President & Practice Lead, Collision Reconstruction.
