TORONTO, ON, MAR. 11, 2019/insPRESS/ – 30 Forensic Engineering, Canada’s leading and fully-independent multi-disciplinary forensics firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Wyllie M.A. as Technical Writer/Report Editor.
Pursuing her passion for English Literature, Amanda attended Queen’s University and obtained a Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature in 2015. Her studies primarily focused on Indigenous Peoples in Canada, which included issues of colonialism and gender. After graduation, she worked as a technical writer and audio transcriptionist, and specifically developed proposals for the Scientific Research and Experimental Development Program offered in Canada. She has since decided to pursue her interest in copy-editing and is excited to be a member of the 30 Forensic Engineering technical writing team.
SPECIALIZED PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
“Amanda is an essential part of the Technical Communications team. A skilled collaborator, she regularly works with subject matter experts from all disciplines (that’s more than 40 authors), helping to translate their technical knowledge into accessible reports. Her background in English Literature only elevates her work: her passion for storytelling and sensitivity to language have proven valuable tools for creating readable expert reports. Amanda has been working hard since day one to ensure each 30 Forensic Engineering report meets our exceptionally high standard. We are lucky to have her” says Stephanie Jorgensen M.A., Senior Technical Writer.
