Vancouver, BC, January 20, 2020 /insPRESS/ – 30 Forensic Engineering, Canada’s leading and fully-independent multidisciplinary forensics firm, is pleased to announce the opening of its regional office in Western Canada. This launch positions our firm to better serve our valued and ever-growing west coast clients by providing them with high quality, consistent and local forensic engineering services.
Fully supported by 30 Forensic Engineering’s 70 professional investigators, engineering technicians and support staff, Dr. Chad Gooyers will serve as the Regional Director for Western Canada and will be working with the firm’s National Practice Leads to coordinate loss investigations across all disciplines, including:
Biomechanics and Personal Injury Assessment;
Building and Fire Code;
Civil/Structural Failure;
Collision Reconstruction;
Environmental Health and Safety;
Fire / Electrical and Explosion Investigations;

Dr. Gooyers specializes in the biomechanical assessment of injury causation and has been published in top biomechanics journals. He currently holds Adjunct Assistant Professor and Sessional Lecturer status at leading Canadian Universities. Dr. Gooyers consults with legal and insurance clients across Canada and the United States, investigating motor vehicle collisions, seatbelt and airbag use/effectiveness, helmet effectiveness, pedestrian collisions, slips/trips/staircase and ladder falls and workplace injuries. He has been qualified in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to give Expert Evidence in biomechanics, injury mechanisms, occupant motion and seatbelt and airbag use/effectiveness.
