Paper: Snowmobile Pole Crash Tests
Instrumented crash tests are a valuable source of information for collision reconstruction, as the collected data allows for a better understanding of the dynamics and severity of real-world collisions. Numerous published crash tests exist for automobiles, motorcycles, and heavy vehicles; however, none of the published crash testing has involved snowmobiles. This paper presents the results of six snowmobile crash tests to begin to fill the gap in the literature.

Paper: Effects of Situational Urgency on the Perception and Response Time to Lateral Collision Hazards
Situational urgency influences the perception and response time (PRT) interval of drivers confronting emergency collision hazards. However, a gap exists in our understanding of the movement characteristics of a collision hazard that directly contribute to a driver’s decision to initiate an evasive response. The aim of this paper is to address the gap in the literature relating to how drivers perceive and react to collision hazards encroaching upon their path of travel from the side.
